Power is a fitness buddy app that uses science-based algorithms & over 2k+ video points will teach you how to perform exercises correctly and guide you through sets, reps, and weights.
Power was build using Flutter and deployed via Google Cloud.
With Power gym goers can watch over 2k live videos. The app looks at the user's current workout and pre-fetches videos, so they get a nice smooth transition, no loading screens.
Each exercise is tracked, logged, and improved for the next workout. The app learns the user's workout routines, and either increases the weights, reps, or sets depending on the workout types and the user's goals. Every exercise also comes with a whole collection of unique videos to aid the user.
Not only does the app guide the user, but it uses sports science to do it most optimally, for example, how much time should they rest beween sets? What is the next muscle group in the workout? And so on. This allows gym goers to get the maximum gains.
How Polydelic helped
Polydelic had to code advanced sports science algorithms to user logs and exercise habits, not an easy task. Polydelic was also responsible for making the videos; for this, we hired personal trainers and a whole gym to get the perfect instructional videos.
The app also includes a muscle tracker screen, which it uses for the next workouts. While generating the workouts, it will also add some random related exercises to keep it interesting.
The app also comes with social features such as sharing workouts or inviting friends to get free subscriptions, these are great ways to gain a broader audience. Not only that, but you can also follow other gym members, view their workouts and their logs, see their weekly goals, follow friends, and much more.
At Polydelic, we use technology that makes it easy to extend and maintain our applications. We want to focus on the product and not get stuck with tech.
We completed Power in 3 weeks from scratch. Meaning we developed the whole Android, iOS apps and Server environment in this timeframe.
We used various tools to aid us during the development of Power.
The app is due to be released after the COVID-19 crisis and when gyms reopen sometime in June.
